We have a friend who rides his bicycle in races every chance he gets. He attaches his bicycle rack to the back of his car and heads out every day to the difficult trails where he improves his performance. He said the only way to get to the difficult trails that work out all his muscles is to put his bike on a bicycle rack for cars and drive to the location.
Our friend said that he could ride his bike to the trails but that it would take twice as long to get there and back. He would lose that time when he could be riding on the difficult trails building his strength and stamina. He liked to use bicycle racks for far cars all the time. He goes out for a ride during his lunch break at work too.
When the weekend hits you have to get up early to see him attaching his bicycle rack to his car. He is out in the morning putting his bike on the car and leaves before the sun comes up. There are times he does not return until the sun is going down. He releases the latch on the bicycle rack for cars and puts his bike in the garage. He is a great person with a big ambition to finish first in competitions.
He asked if we would like to buy a bicycle rack for cars and join him, but he rides trails that are far out of our physical arena and we would only slow him down. We did look a bicycle rack for cars and found one we could use to take our bikes to the park. We have invited him to the park but we know it is not equivalent to the workout he gets on the trails he visits.
